The three human members of Gallimauphry and the Dog were friends before they started the band and all were members of Priory Hard Shanty which performed at many events around the south coast including two performances at the Festival of the Sea held in Portsmouth. These performances were in conjunction with the Jubilee Sailing Trust helping them to raise funds for the running of their wonderful square riggers. These Tall Ships provide amazing sea going experiences for disabled people of all ages.
Sue and Rachel played as a Duet around the local folk clubs for quite a few years, then as part of the band Paris which played at various venues along the South Coast, returning to a duet for a while and then we realised the band need a third member to make the dynamic come alive, Rosie joined the band in early 2010 bringing her wide repertoire of very amusing songs, her eccentric humour and enviable stage presence.
The dynamic, including Cocoa of course, obviously worked as Gallimauphry and the Dog are gaining in popularity and have played at Crediton, Banbury and Alcester Festivals, Local Folk Clubs and Pubs and at many smaller gatherings around the the Southern region.
